Diplômée en 2001 en Arts Plastiques à l’école “le 75” à Bruxelles et principalement formée en graphisme, je choisis de me consacrer entièrement à la photographie en  2022. Activiste, je me suis également beaucoup investie dans la photo documentaire lors de manifestations, à Bruxelles et à Paris. En 2022, je commence une collaboration avec le projet International Fotografar Palavras, basé au Portugal, mettant en lien des écrivain.e.s, photographes et vidéastes, traduisant des extraits de textes d’auteur.ice.s en images. Au fil du temps, cette collaboration a donné vie à un projet intime et universel à la fois. Il explore l’universalité des émotions à travers la photoperformance et l’autoportrait. Au-delà des aspects esthétiques et thérapeutiques, je souhaite poursuivre une approche émotionnelle, interrogative et/ou militante. Un trauma intergénérationnel lié à la Shoah, un trauma émotionnel lié au silence suite à un vécu émotionnel intime : ces vécus sont à la fois si loins et si proches car ils génèrent un questionnement autour des concepts de mémoire et de vide. Cette reconnection à l’histoire personnelle et traumatique s’articule autour du corps en tant qu’élément social et parfois politique (“07.10.23” faisant référence au pogrom du 07.10.23 en Israël, écho à la Shoah). Les photoperformances y sont montrées sans tabou et brutes. 

Je travaille aussi sur des projets où se mêlent tension et questionnements. Entre autoportrait, streetphotography et approche conceptuelle, ceux-ci révèlent une ambiguïté qui invite à l’interprétation, brouillant les frontières entre les genres pour explorer des dimensions nouvelles et questionner notre perception du monde.

Graduating in 2001 in Visual Arts from the school “Le 75” in Brussels, with a primary focus on graphic design, I chose to fully dedicate myself to photography in 2022. As an activist, I was also deeply involved in documentary photography during protests, both in Brussels and Paris. In 2022, I began a collaboration with the international project Fotografar Palavras, based in Portugal, which connects writers, photographers, and filmmakers, translating excerpts of literary texts into visual language. Over time, this collaboration has evolved into a project that is both intimate and universal. It explores the universality of emotions through photo-performance and self-portraiture.

Beyond aesthetic and therapeutic aspects, I aim to pursue an emotional, questioning, and/or activist approach. An intergenerational trauma linked to the Shoah, and an emotional trauma tied to the silence surrounding deeply personal experiences: these stories feel both distant and close, as they raise questions about memory and emptiness. This reconnection to personal and collective trauma is expressed through the body as a social—and sometimes political—element (“07.10.23” referencing the pogrom of October 7, 2023 in Israel, echoing the Shoah). The photo-performances are presented raw and without taboo.

I am also working on projects that blend tension and introspection. Somewhere between self-portraiture, street photography, and conceptual approaches, these works reveal an ambiguity that invites interpretation, blurring boundaries between genres to explore new dimensions and challenge our perception of the world.
